Internship/COOP Opportunity

Intern, Member Affairs and Global Communications (MAGC)
The SEEP Network - Rosslyn, VA

The SEEP Network is seeking a highly detail-oriented, organized individual to assist SEEP’s Member Affairs and Global Communications team. The Member Affairs and Global Communications Intern will assist with SEEP’s event planning, membership processes, organizational communication and marketing, web development, and social media, with a focus on SEEP’s 2015 Annual Conference in September. As this position requires a lot of interaction with conference attendees and SEEP members, the ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be proactive in identifying and dealing with all conference-related issues surrounding attendees.This position is temporary, full-time paid. The position runs early July through mid-October.

Qualifications:
  • University degree in progress; completion preferred
  • Mist be highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Must be willing and able to learn quickly
  • High degree of familiarity with Microsoft Suite, particularity Excel
  •  Able to manage multiple tasks and short deadlines
  • Demonstrated event planning and logistical experience
  • Some experience with online registration systems
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Spanish or French language proficiency is a plus
  • HTML and Adobe suite skills are a plus, not required
  • Experience managing brand social media is a plus, not required
  • Proven ability to reach out to a diverse constituency, preferably in global context
  • Sense of humor and high level of professional diplomacy
