Basic REQUIREMENTS: Required Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration or related field. Minimum of four years progressively responsible work related to Public Health, Health Education, International Relations, Development Studies, Women’s Studies, Communications, or related field (two years’ experience will be acceptable if candidate has a Master’s degree in Public Health related field). Excellent writing skills, with an ability to write technical content clearly, concisely, and in an engaging manner, drawing from a variety of data sources under tight timelines; Familiarity with sexual and reproductive health topics, terminology, and programming; Professional experience in dissemination of written products in a variety of forums, ideally in development or relevant field; Familiarity with design of visual representations of data, including diagrams, charts, and graphs; Qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills; Excellent organizational skills with an emphasis on being thorough and very detail-oriented, with ability to multi-task; Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team; Excellent computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office products; Fluent in written and spoken English; Ability to travel internationally up to 30%; Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Pathfinder International.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in related field strongly preferred; Previous experience studying or working in a developing country or countries; Editing experience a plus; Fluency in French, Portuguese, or other language; Familiarity with Adobe InDesign a plus.

Technical Director
Port-au-Prince, Haiti

Basic REQUIREMENTS: Advanced degree (MD, MPH, PhD) in Medicine, Public Health, Nursing or related field. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field of primary health care with in-depth technical knowledge of implementing maternal and child health, family planning, HIV/AIDS and other infectious disease programs. At least 5 years’ experience in managing donor-funded projects and in the design and implementation of overseas health projects; preferably in the Caribbean. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of a results-based financing program in public health. Ability to perform at a senior policy level, demonstrated by previous experience in leading the development and implementation of primary health care programs. Familiarity with USAID or other USG administrative, management and reporting procedures and systems. Demonstrated expertise in health service delivery, training and capacity building in one or more of the following technical areas: HIV and AIDS, Family Planning/ Reproductive Health, Maternal and Child Health and Infectious Diseases.
Understanding of comprehensive health system, health, population, and nutrition context in Haiti. Experience developing medical guidelines, performance improvement standards and curricula and other materials in area of technical expertise. Demonstrated experience strengthening facility-based clinical services in resource-poor settings. Strong background in health systems strengthening, and community-based approaches for service delivery and experience working with partners and stakeholders at all levels (from national to community). Proven ability to synthesize and disseminate medical best practices and lessons learned to government officials, key stakeholders, implementing partners and beneficiaries to maximize access and quality. Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate and exchange ideas and knowledge with the aim of enhancing outcomes and Project results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated talent in writing technical content to increase support for quality improvement among varied technical and lay audiences. Proven ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with U.S. and host country governments, key stakeholders, FBOs, public and private/ commercial sector partners, international donors and senior members of the Haitian donor community. Experience working with complex programs involving short deadlines, multiple tasks, in coordination with multiple partners, to achieve expected results. Excellent diplomatic, interpersonal, partnering and negotiation skills. Fluency in spoken and written English and French (tested FSI R4/S4). Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability and willingness to travel In-county as well as to the US Headquarters. Knowledge of the political, social, economic and cultural environment of working in Haiti.
Preferred Qualifications: Resident and professional experience in Haiti strongly preferred. Additional proficiency in Haitian Creole preferred. Significant experience designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating clinical standards, guidelines and performance of USAID-supported health programs.
