The U.S. Export Assistance Center is dedicated to helping
businesses reach their international business development goals. Our office is
one of 250+ worldwide U.S. Commercial Service posts offering companies
customized end-to-end business solutions to help them compete and win in the
global marketplace. Our services fall under four basic categories:
• Identifying
and evaluating international partners;
• Helping
firms navigate international regulatory requirements;
• Counseling
companies about the creation of market entry strategies; and
• Developing
country- and industry-specific market research.
Serious candidates will have excellent oral and written
communications skills, website and event coordination experience, a strong
understanding of the globalized economy, and an interest in a public service
career. Foreign language skills encouraged. The trainee must be available to
travel periodically to attend meetings, trainings and conduct outreach
throughout client service area.
The Recent Graduate program duration is one year. Selectee's
will be given a Term appointment not to exceed 1 (one) year. Upon successful
completion of the program and at the agency's discretion, the appointee may be
converted to a Career-Conditional position in the competitive service.
