BPSOS­Delaware Valley HAPP Program Manager
Boat People SOS, lne. (BPSOS) is a national Vietnamese-American community-based organization with 33
years of service to Vietnamese refugees and immigrants. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic
individual with creative and innovative program planning and management skills to to deveiop the Health
Awareness and Promotion Program (HAPP) and be part ofthe Management Team of the of Delaware Valley
Branch (including offices in Philadelphia, PA and South Jersey, ND,”
Speciñc Responsibilities:
HAPP Program Manager:
1. Manage the entire BPSOS-Delaware Valley HAPP Program, including implementation of activities, ñscal
management, administrative functions, and service deììvery components.
2. Assist with overall planning and direction ofthe program.
3. Supervise the program staff and provide team leadership, training and orientation to program stafï.
4. Implement continuous quality improvement plan.
5. Build local, state, and regional partnerships, specifically with other Vietnamese-serving organizations,
health institutions, and health funders.
6. Support and work with the branch manager, fund developer and board members on all major fundraising
initiatìves,.including developing a base ofindivìdual donors.
7. Actively work with the branch manager and the National HAPP Program Manager to develop and
implement a comprehensive development strategy to include corporate, foundation, government grants, ete.
8. Work with the development team and branch staff to develop grant proposals.
9. Further relationship with local health care providers for low-cost or free screening services, funders and
donors.
10. Mobilize community support and develop a network of volunteers to facilitate and enhance program
activities.
ll. Perform other functional and administrative duties as a part ofthe Delaware Valley team to fulfîll the
mission of BPSOS.
Qualifications:
1. Fluency in English, Vietnamese preferred, beth written and oral;
2. Excellent organization and management skills;

4. PC computer literacy, with profîciency in Word, Excel and Internet usage;
5. Bachelor’s degree preferred in Social Works, Public non-profit management, Psychology, or related area;
